ACECRAFT is a mobile cooperative shoot-them up who differentiate itself by an very intense cooperative gameplay. Developed by Skystone Games Pte. Ltd, the game is based on the eye-catching catchphrase “WE FLY TOGETHER!”. It eschews pure solo shooting like fighting games in the sky, making two players cooperate as a team in asymmetrical roles; one player takes on the immense rainbow bullets amid this world of color, and another focuses on attacking them. This can absorb and then counter enemies' attacks, which isn't just a neat trick but turns ped living dodge mode into an elaborate game of cat and mouse where getting shot at is as exciting as taking out enemies, keeping the action both unique and engaging.

The game takes place in the world of Cloudia, a land filled with castle ruins, stone columns, and ancient statues. There are over 100 stages laid in rich and varied terrains like grass, swamp, beach or snowy fields. It features 5 different forms of your character with unique fighting properties. The visuals also have a fun, bright-colored high-impact cartoon-style look which feels both fast paced and nostalgic as opposed to being almost photo realistic, and compliments the pace of action well. The game also features light rogue like mechanics which offers various skills of eight different pilots and random power-ups throughout runs, it sheds an extra layer of strategy and replay value.

Easy to access is one of its major strengths. Players can hop right into the action from the moment they boot up the game as intuitive controls make it easy to master each of this race's waves. It's in the social space where this game really comes alive. Coordinating with an ally via the quick-chat wheel to execute a kill combo, or share frozen cake bites from victory chests is another reason it feels all the more fun and communal. It's a great option if you're looking for one-off play sessions, such as on your commute or to decompress after work — particularly because it has an offline mode.

In a word, ACECRAFT is an enjoyable mixture of action, casual strategy and social adherence. If you like shooters and have friend to play with, this high-flying adventure is definitely worth a look.

ACECRAFT is a vertical shooting game with elements of Cuphead’s 30s rubber hose animation and the rogue like element inspired by Vampire Survivors, offering a visually stunning and extremely addictive gaming experience. The game’s hand-drawn cuteness, straight from the pages of a grade-schooler’s sketchbook to your television screen, belies the explosive action at its heart: Players will navigate attacks and defenses running down walls, on the ground or dashing through waves of silk arrows, all while landing super-explosive counters.

Gameplay is based on drag-to-move controls, with your plane auto-firing as you evade complex bullet patterns. The standout mechanic here is the “Counter Stunt” system: absorb pink enemy projectiles and fire them back as devastating counterattacks, which introduces a welcome hint of timing to the chaos. Shards of a rogue like are everywhere to be seen in randomly occurred perks and mid-run upgrades like homing fireworks and ricocheting bouncy balls, making each attempt feel different. Solo play is fun, but 2 player co-op makes gameplay even better as friends can revive one another and approach boss fights with coordination.

The gacha is very grind, but gets these for free with tickets or event rewards and at 60 pulls you can guarantee some stuff if getting unlucky. But its UI’s madness of events and menus can be a bit much for the uninitiated, which takes away from what is otherwise an enjoyable experience. Nevertheless, the game’s fantastic sound design, from its jazzy music to satisfying effects, keeps pulses racing.

Ultimately, ACECRAFT is more than a Cuphead rip-off: it’s a love letter to vintage graphics with modern mobile-game values. Monetization aspects are present, but non-intrusive for casual players to play without spending. A must-play for bullet-hell shooter and cooperative chaos enthusiasts, with its delightful visual style and tight controls replayable rogue like depth.

ACECRAFT is a pleasant surprise that brings traditional bullet hell at the speed of 1930s rubber hose. Based in the floating archipelago of Cloudia, you’ll play as an Ace Pilot travelling through psychedelic bullet storms and bouncing pink projectiles back to their shooters in order to fend off the Nightmare Legion. This “absorb-and-counter” mechanic is the game’s masterstroke: remove your finger and defense transforms into offense, while balanced flow becomes a rhythmic push-and-pull that feels part dodging puzzle, part aerial judo. Every ten-wave set culminates in a boss battle you could imagine being storyboarded by Max Fleischer; one of my favorites is fighting against a gigantic clock that shoots out circular patterns so thick they seem like time unraveling.

Between runs, a gear system (of the gacha school) offers permanent upgrades; in-counterpoint, rogue like attachments stack up mid-run — the homing fireworks, spread cannons or napalm spitfires of which can combine into absurd screen-filling salvos. The result is a dynamic power fantasy that thrives on improvisation, rather than roteness. A two-player co-op survival mode doubles the mayhem and the loot, promoting synergistic builds and frantic on-the-go communication.

Aesthetic-wise, the Cuphead-ish watercolor skies and bouncy jazz soundtrack sell a childlike wonder that belies the razor-sharp difficulty swirling beneath. But the somewhat generous daily tickets, pity-based summons, and fair gear progression ensure that monetization never crosses into the predatory category. And the occasional frame drop during all that firework-set finale is as bumpy of a ride as it gets.

ACECRAFT is an unusual mobile shooter that respects your reflexes but also your time, allowing for five-minute-bursts of dopamine or hours long co-op marathons without once delving into grind-for-grind’s-sake tedium. Buckle in, prime your counter stunt and let the clouds burn, this is as close to piloting a Saturday-morning cartoon without a time machine.

ACECRAFT is at its best with the 1930s rubber-hose animation, a wonderful ode to the classics like Tom & Jerry. The cloud-hugged realm of Cloudia, with its sugary landscapes and whimsical floating islands, is a living cartoon that helps to make each dogfight exhilarating in the visual sense. Its marquee “bullet absorption” function, of turning pink enemy projectiles into screen clearing counterattacks, lends satisfying strategic depth to the typical shoot them up outline.

Cooperation is where the game really lives up to its “WE FLY TOGETHER!” mantra. Taking part in a friend for some role splitting, with one character tanking bullets while the other spams firepower, leads to thrilling bursts of synergy amid rapid in-game features allowing communication between team members. Randomly combined rogue like skills and over 100 unique stages help round out the replays, no two runs have to be the same. The game is of a lot of interests and fun, if you don’t have a try, you will never know how exciting a shooting game can be, and this game can fulfill your needs and demands and make your boring life not boring and tiring any more.

It's a shame, then, that this charm is sacrificed to aggressive monetization. 70 pull + ace pilot minimums and SCANT free gives a jarring contrast to the early repeat recharging offers in only Chapter 1. Promised “100 free pulls” are hidden behind tedious tasks, and Tom and Jerry tie-in characters are unavailable until you pay for them. These options tick away the casual crowd attracted by the art style.

For those little quick, tension-relieving sessions, ACECRAFT is there. But its more-is-more paywall approach keeps it from becoming the cooperation shooter that could’ve been truly special, which is a shame given its imaginative core.
